The Industry's Most Cost Effective Media Printing Solution

Storageheaven announces the automation ready disc printer the Xstreamjet Inkjet Printer to in-house disc production, enabling users to print outstanding photo quality images directly onto the surface of the disc.

The Xstreamjet enables the most cost-efficient, professional quality printing for in-house media production by providing options for either six separate ink cartridges or a continuous supply with a bulk ink (CIS) option. Both options optimize media printing costs with the individual cartridge option providing up to 400 full-coverage disc prints per cartridge-set and individual color cartridge replacement for a more efficient use of ink. The bulk ink (CIS) option provides a continuous ink supply for up to 2500 full-coverage disc prints before ink replenishment is required and up to 28,000 disc prints with the addition of a bulk ink kit refill, enabling an industry-leading print cost of $.03 per disc.

Life Insurance For Your Most Important Data

It is rather amazing that just 30 years ago, most of our personal and business data were being stored on paper and microfilm. On the other hand, large corporations have been using million dollar mainframe systems and reel-to-reel tapes for years to secure their data long before the PC was introduced to the market in the 1980's.

Anyhow, the fact remains, whether you are a large corporation or and individual, it was important 30 years ago to secure your precious data, be that it was stored in your personal library at home or in a data centre at a secured facility. The difference between then and now is the fact that we have come to rely on computer technology to store all our personal and business information in a digital form and we also have a lot more "important" information that we need to securely store. For individuals, this data might simply be some music files or family photos in digital format. Or if might be a database with accounting data for a business that is critical to the day to day function of the business entity. Regardless of the nature of the data backing up using this information and being able to reliably and timely restore this data is imperative.

Unfortunately, a lot of businesses fail every year due to catastrophic loss of data. Personally, I would be extremely disappointed to loose my precious family tree information with pictures dating back 100 years and family heritage dating back some 500 years. Most of us plan to backup our data one day, however, most of us never actually get to the point of actually having a fully functional and reliable backup and restore system. Corporations struggle to manage the continuous and never ending exponential increase in the amount of information that they have to backup and very option have to manage online, near line and offline storage systems. Individuals and SMB organizations have it a little easier, though their budgets are smaller, the amount of information they have to secure is also smaller. For small business, and individuals, there are online backup services such as Storage Heaven's broadband internet backup service, which offer military grade data encryption, is extremely easy to use and works continuously in the background without using your PC resources. Large corporations with their multi-terabyte storage demands, still will have to continue to rely on Storage Heaven's full line of data storage hardware and software solutions -- online, offline, nearline. These range from NAS (Network Attached Storage), SAN (Storage Area Networks) and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) encompassing a wide range of storage technologies incorporating predominantly optical and magnetic technologies.
